ART FOR SALE INFORMATION

All art below is available first come first serve by e-mailing me at marius@valdescreative.com. Fed-ex ground shipping is included in the price. Once a painting is sold I will mark it as sold in order of e-mail orders.

All paintings are acrylic paint on either regular 3/4 inch edge canvas or 1.5 inch edge gallery style canvas. The Batman and reed Richards paintings are acrylic paint on comic book paper on canvas.

Due to crazy schedule these will be my last paintings for 2007 and I will not be taking commissions until June 2008.

Thanks!
Marius

ANDERSON GALLERY 2005

The stars of the show were The Unwantables. They hope to make a comeback in 2008. I showed an animated movie I made, which I need to post on here I guess. I also had a bunch of my process work for the movie, about 300 Unwantables sculpy figures on the floor, paintings on the walls, and then I gave away 200 sculpy figures that night (gone in an hour) that were packaged with my artist statement about the show. It was a fun night but I was too tired to enjoy it. If you have any interest, google "marius valdes VCU Thesis" and you can read way more about it than you probably ever wanted to.

I think the 8 foot Unwantable Painting when you walk in the door of the exhibit lives in the basement of the VCU Grad student building at 1315 Floyd Avenue in Richmond, VA. I should really go liberate him, or maybe someone else should! Let me know if you do and we'll feature him on the blog.

ANDERSON GALLERY SET UP IN 2005

The Unwantables and the Horse

A new friend named Rita recently purchased this painting I did a few years back from LIFT Coffee in Richmond. I forgot how much I loved doing those big pieces. I would do more if they were easier to ship or store them. Moving 4x8 paintings gets a bit difficult after awhile. This picture shows some of "The Unwantables" playing with a horse. You can't trust those Unwantables.

VALDES ART FOR SALE

These are paintings left over from my recent show at the Metro Space Gallery.

Numbers 1-19 are acrylic paint on 24 x 24 gallery style canvases. Each painting is $100, this includes shipping.

Numbers 20-24 are acrylic paint on collaged comic book newsprint on 18 x 36 gallery style canvas. These are each $200 (including my beloved Captain America) and this includes shipping.

First come, first serve. I will post "SOLD" as quickly as I can but will sell each piece to the 1st e-mail buyer I get whether the piece is labeled or not. If you would like to see a better high res image of any piece, let me know and I will get one by the weekend.

Thanks-
Marius
